Dennis Holler exists to share our work camping experiences. We love stickers as a remembrance of where we have visited. Now we are providing stickers in our store for your pleasure as well!

Dennis Holler

Brian & Lydia

FULLTIME RV BLOGGER AND SHOP OWNER

We sold most of our belongings and moved into our fifth wheel. We love having the freedom to hit the road whenever. Some people have asked us why we decided to live the lifestyle. Well, both of the children were in college living their lives. Lydia decided she wanted a change in scenery and really was looking for beach life. Brian came in the door from work one day and suggested we take a look at a 5th wheel. So we started the process of looking around and doing some research.

After visiting several locations and reading online about some of the issues people have buying new we decided to buy used. We ended up with our 2015 Jayco Eagle, it has everything we need; plus the space is great and some upgrades made it homier. Over the past two years, it has been a learning curve for sure from blowouts to our landing legs being replaced. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Name Dennis Holler was Born

We wanted to name our camper and really didn’t know what name to go with. We went through several names but none really stuck, Dennis Holler was created. So, Dennis is our last name and Holler means a small sheltered valley.  Seeing how our new home on wheels is small plus sheltered us it only seemed fitting.

Dennis Holler Hits the Road

We purchased our new home on wheels in May of 2020 while everyone was experiencing the vid. We were selling everything that spring and looking forward to a new life and experiences. We ended up in Athens, GA for a couple of months and then started moving around several counties so that we could get the setup and break down under our belts. When August of 2020 came it was Brian’s birthday so we made the decision to leave the day after.

We left GA with no regrets and headed to NC. On the way to our new destination, we had a blowout on the camper. We had to get help changing the tire which was a big learning experience. Brian and a nice man came to help us out. Once the tire was changed we were back on our way. After having the blow out we realized we needed to get the G-rated tires for the camper.

Making Money While on the Road with Dennis Holler

People are curious about how we make money while moving from state to state. Brian has customer service skills and plus handy with repairing stuff around the camper.  Lydia has been an entrepreneur since her early twenties, such as a mortgage broker, real estate agent, plus consultant with a direct sales company. While traveling so far we have built a small online business that we are looking to grow.

We have also been doing gig work and now we are getting our feet wet with work campering. We will be working for various places across the country making money plus getting our campground fees included while working for said places. Currently, we are working at an oilfield with a gate guard service so that we can focus more on our businesses.

Thank you for being here and following us on our journey! Continue to follow us to see what is in store. We will be sharing some of the information we have learned during our time traveling and working. Also, some tips and tricks for staying cool in the Texas heat while we are here.
